Kyunghee Kim is a Korean American immigrant, writer, poet, and a certified mindfulness teacher. Kyunghee has partnered with local businesses like Destination Ann Arbor for local eats/things to do.
Kyunghee resides in Michigan with her husband with whom she enjoys going on hikes and food adventures with. Her favorite title is “emo” (aunt in Korean) and her favorite place is anywhere with good Korean stews with an abundance of nature and art, or at home with her puppy.

Hi there! I'm Kyunghee, the creator behind this blog. The name "fields of lilacs" comes from my love and fascination of the lilac flower. My family and I immigrated to the U.S when I was eight years old and since then every time I smell lilacs, I think of Korea-
coming back to the start, the basics. The scent is both nostalgic and grounding, a reminder that you can always begin again.
